Locality Manager – York
I have 17 years experience working in the health and social care sector and I have worked for Avalon for almost a decade now. In that time I have been proud to be a specialist Service Manager for Shared Lives and a Senior Service Manager supporting all of our local delivery.
In 2023 I was promoted to Locality Manager, taking on a role that means a lot to me as someone who is so passionate about our customers and the support we provide.
My experience over the years has mostly been supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, sensory needs, health issues and behaviours of concern but I also have two children of my own who are diagnosed with autism.
I love the culture at Avalon; that we’re a charity which truly puts people first, and that we work in partnership with customers, families and external agencies to ensure we meet need and provide a truly personalised service.
I’m really excited to take the York team into the future, and to strive for innovations that will benefit the people we support, and the sector as a whole.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and extended family which also includes our array of pets. I am also very creative so to fulfil this passion, I will quite often have some kind of art or craft project on the go!
