Director of Operations
I started my career in 2004 working in a supported living scheme for 3 adults in Sheffield. I loved working in the scheme and believe it gave me a good foundation for the rest of my career, cementing my values towards always putting people first and working with everyone together to make things the best they can be.
Since then I have developed and worked as a Registered Manager for both supported living and complex residential services, as well as a Development Manager. More recently I have worked at Director level for a large national provider and now having joined Avalon Group I am looking forward to helping our charity to continue and build on our work ensuring people have the best life possible.
In addition to my paid work I spent 5 years volunteering at and on the board of Directors for Under The Stars, a Sheffield based charity.
When I am not in work I spend my time juggling my commitments to my young family, our growing herd of pets (3 fish, 2 dogs and a tortoise) and trying to sneak a bit of time in to go fishing.
