Lisa Fletcher

I’ve worked for Avalon for over 15 years now, working at various levels of management before becoming Deputy Director of Operations in 2024 – something I’m immensely proud of. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many like-minded people who have a passion to get the best outcomes for people and to make a difference to our communities.

I love that Avalon Group treats staff and carers with total respect, supporting them to achieve their full potential so that quality services are at the forefront of everything we do.

There have been many achievements that I’m particularly proud of during my career, but I have two that really stand out:

• Attending the Great British Care Awards after being nominated for ‘Best Team’ was a huge achievement and it was lovely to see the team celebrate at the National Railway Museum
• Writing, planning, delivering and assessing the 4 day Level 2 Award in Dementia Awareness. There are now more than 40 Avalon staff across the localities who have achieved this qualification which has contributed to the Group building a very good reputation as specialist dementia providers

When I’m not working you’ll generally find me doing one of my three favourite things: Walking my dog, riding and competing my dressage horse and spending time with my family.
