Keith Nurcombe
Chair of Trustees
I serve as a NED for Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Trust, Humber Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, as well as on the board of WM5G part of the Combined Authority in the West Midlands. I am also a Crown Representative working for the Cabinet Office focusing on supporting the NHS with key strategic suppliers and supporting delivery of best value for the NHS.
I was drawn to Avalon by the strong values of the organisation and a desire to support a local charity delivering great care and support.
I have had a thirty year executive career working in healthcare both globally for the likes of GlaxoSmithKline and Telefonica, but also supporting and delivering services to the NHS.
I have specialised in digital delivery and transformation including rolling out Shared Care Record systems and more recently EPR programmes within the NHS. I have a degree in climatology and meteorology and when not working enjoy spending time with my family in North Yorkshire, skiing and sailing.
As Chair of Avalon I am looking forward to supporting the organisation, Emma and her leadership team with my fellow Board members, and continuing to develop our offering to support as many people as possible.
